Barbakan Residence Old Town

Pros: The place is well located at the gate of the old town and near the train and bus station. That has made it really easy to take the bus to Auschwitz. The apartment is spacious and very nice.

Cons: The apartment is on the fourth floor. Although there is an elevator, one has to go about ten steps downstairs from the entrance to get it and the last floor is not served. I had not realized that at booking time. We had heavy luggage and we were unlucky that the elevator was brocken the day we left, so it was quite an effort.

Residence Near Main Station

Pros: Convenient location near Kraków Główny and old town. Easy and clear check-in information.

Cons: The bathroom was a bit small. Booked for 3 people but needed to setup the sofa-bed ourselves.

Great location!

Pros: Great location and big enough for 4 adults and 2 kids.

Cons: We arrived to 2 beds ready only and needed to call the property to work out where and how to prep beds for kids - would be easier if that was done or there were written instructions somewhere.

Apartment 19

Pros: Location excellent; modern, comfortable, quiet apartment; kitchen facilities good - included toaster, combi microwave/oven/grill, and Nespresso coffee machine(bring your own pods); baggage storage lockers and laundry facilities in basement (message owner for access code)

Cons: Advised that aircon should not be set lower than 20 degrees; no dustpan & brush provided; no antibacterial cleaning spray provided.

Pros: Great location just outside of old town and close to main train station.

Cons: No air condition. Breakfast was delivered to the apartment in the morning. There was only instant coffee.

Great base camp plenty of room quiet and well situated to explore clean and tidy .

Pros: Lots of space air con in every room but the back room air con keeps pumping water away so needs looking at . Kitchen needs a microwave but that’s all. Bathroom shower is good two sinks no window or vent though . Smart tv in main room both bedrooms spacious and not together . Plenty of hanging storage . Washer in bathroom if needed. No cafetière which is a shame if you like coffee but no big deal. There is a lift to all floors and it works well.

Cons: Air con in back bedroom is noisy no curtains just a poor blind so very light . Door is broken all the hinges have been damaged so it doesn’t shut well. These are small things this is still a great apartment well situated for the old town and train station all 5 mins away.
